The Music Icon Portrays a Twisted Persona of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser

The celebrated musician is gearing up for a substantial big screen appearance in 2026, kicking off with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

In the film, the artist embodies what she refers to as a dark version of herself.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, the star remarked.

She further explained in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept originated from the demand to make one.

A Glimpse into The Film

The initial preview, released on this week, mixes authentic footage from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized behind-the-scenes moments.

The film is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who revealed that the narrative revolves around a scenario where the singer opted for alternate decisions throughout the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Hectic Acting Schedule

This project is just one of many forthcoming screen roles for the star, who already featured in three independent movies recently.

She also signed on to star in the actress’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

Next February will also see the launch of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the artist.

She will also provide music for the drama Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released next year.

The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
